Giving Tuesday is a global movement encouraging people to do good. It began in 2012 and has inspired millions of people to donate and celebrate generosity in over 80 countries around the world! Participants come from various sectors such as charities, businesses, individuals, and educational institutions. Giving Tuesday falls on November 29 but participants are encouraged to donate every Tuesday.

This Giving Tuesday, we ask that our Akshaya Patra family come together to collaborate, innovate
and find creative ways to inspire their friends, family, and networks to make a difference in the lives
of millions of children all across India. Host events, and contests, run Facebook fundraisers but
most importantly, have fun and raise funds for millions of Indian school children who simply
want a warm meal and access to an education for a better future tomorrow.
